First of all a big thank you for inviting Dad and I on board Gothik to share your adventure with you. It really was fantastic despite not being for long enough. I cannot believe it has been 5 years since I have spent any time with you and I have to say that as expected we just picked up where we left off!!!
I have attached a couple of photos that you might like to put on the website. The first two are from that awesome still day when it was like floating on oil. I have got a load more and I will put them on a CD for you and post them onto your home address for when you get back (can you let me have your address?).
When we left you on Thursday we had a great bus ride back to Ullapool and made it there for a bout 6pm, we then had a quick coffee and had a rapid drive home in the TT. We had the roof down for the first few hours until we were caught in a highland rainstorm and had a panicked couple of minutes trying to get the roof up and getting very wet! We finally rolled into Cheltenham at 3.30am a frantic 8.5 hr journey which was not bad at all.. Let's hope that we were not snapped by any cameras.
Anyway say hello to Keith for me, he is a great guy and a real pleasure to spend some time with. Let's hope we all do some more sailing together in the near future and certainly not leave it so long this time.
