Below is a complete list of navigational publications obtained (begged,
borrowed or purchased) for the circumnavigation.
Reeds Nautical Almanac - for the first time this year
I ordered the loose leaf version thinking it would be more practical than
the standard bound version, not at all; the loose leaf version is much
bulkier, it certainly will not fit on any normal bookshelf; the ring binder
makes it difficult to flick from one section to another; the pages keep
falling out as the binding holes tear easily - this is perhaps the most
infuriating aspect and would prevent any use of the book in the cockpit
- the slightest wind (something we usually hope for) would lead to a paper
trail in ones wake.

This is a truly excellent book, densely packed with much information
that does not appear in other pilots. Originally purchased for our
trip to Holland in 2004. |
East Coast Rivers

Concise, brief, sometimes like a guide book; it covers
many smaller locations not given a mention in other pilots. I like
this book - it makes me want to visit the nooks and crannies - however
it does not always give as much navigation info as I would like. |

I thought Reeds Nautical Almanac does a good enough job (although maybe
not as convenient).
